About me
Hey, I’m Dom — a solo traveler in my 30s with a backpack on my shoulders and curiosity as my compass.
A few years ago, I started to feel stuck. Life was fine, but it wasn’t full. I was going through the motions — working, sleeping, repeating — waiting for some kind of spark. That spark came when I booked my first solo trip and stepped into the unknown. It wasn’t perfect or glamorous, but it was real. And that changed everything.
Since then, I’ve been traveling solo — not to escape life, but to rediscover it. From early mornings in quiet cities to late nights in lively hostels, I’ve found meaning in the small moments: a strong coffee in a new café, a conversation with a stranger that sticks, the feeling of walking into a place where nobody knows your name.
Roaming With Dom is my personal space to document the journey — the good, the messy, and everything in between. I’m not a luxury traveler or a full-time nomad. I’m just someone who believes there’s something powerful in traveling light, moving slow, and saying yes to the unfamiliar.
If you’re someone who’s ever thought about packing a bag and going off on your own, you’re not alone. This blog is for people like us — the solo roamers, the shy extroverts, the ones who crave freedom and connection at the same time.
💭Why I travel solo
I used to live a life that looked good on paper but felt kind of… dull. My first solo trip changed that. Being alone in a new city taught me more than any routine ever could — about who I am, what I value, and how much beauty there is in the unknown.
Now, I travel to reconnect — with people, with places, and with myself. I roam to slow down, listen, and be present in a world that moves too fast.
